“We come to you and discuss your project.”
The foundation of a successful project is the brief. We start by understanding your goals and vision for the process. Together, we’ll explore key elements like space, functionality, aesthetics, budget, timeline, and expectations. During this phase, we’ll visit the site for the initial measure up, we’ll discuss potential opportunities, such as views, breezes, and natural light, while identifying any project constraints.
-
“The first ideas are put to paper.”
Building on the vision from phase 01, we’ll start creating initial design sketches. In this phase, our aim is to develop a set of sketch plans that respond to the brief and identify the best spatial and financial strategies to meet your project goals. We’ll then meet to discuss and your feedback will be crucial. By the end of this phase, you’ll have a set of floor plans with a proposed design.
-
“Where we put the ideas to the test and your project starts to take shape.”
We refine the approved sketch design into a more detailed set of documents and a 3D model to help you visualise the space. In this phase we will work with you on material selections and any layout adjustments. Here, we’ll consult with town planners to determine if a Development Application (DA) is needed and coordinate with structural engineers. At this point we’ll also obtain more detailed cost estimates to assist with budget management. -
“Selecting and fine-tuning interiors, joinery, and finishes.”
At this stage, we focus on the interior spaces of the project, with a particular emphasis on joinery design. We’ll work closely with you to select all the hard finishes, as well as the fixtures and fittings. -
“Prepping approvals, advice, and everything needed to make it happen.”
You should now have a clear vision of your project. If it’s ready to move to the construction phase, we’ll take care of securing the Building Approval (BA) from the Council. To do this we’ll collaborate with the necessary consultants to compile a package for submission to a certifier for approval. This package will include all required drawings and documentation.
-
“Getting ready for site — finalising details and building documentation.”
This is the final phase before construction begins. With confirmed layout and materials, we’ll complete all detailed documentation required for building. This includes plans, sections, elevations, and reflected ceiling plans for lighting and electrical layouts. Joinery drawings for the kitchen, bathrooms, and other areas will be included, along with schedules detailing your selected finishes and fixtures. Additionally, we’ll provide precise drawings for any unique design elements.
-
“We help the project get to site and follow the progress.”
We can also offer contract administration services, where we help choose a builder and oversee the construction. We’ll be present on-site to ensure everything reflects the original design and keep you informed about timelines, costs, changes, and quality assurance throughout construction. If any challenges arise we’ll assist in managing those discussions and provide any additional documents.
