A new build designed for a couple seeking a coastal sea change in their retirement. The site is positioned on a ridge in Northern NSW with dual street frontage. Designed to capture expansive views to the broader surrounding context the plan sets a datum across the site using outdoor spaces, terraces and landscape elements to navigate the steeply sloping terrain. The brief was also to create a dwelling that would allow for large family gatherings, entertaining and visitation without disrupting the function of the main dwelling.
